Don't remember our Tor address!

We provide a hidden service for MadIRC for a while now. And it’s probably right now the most used service.

Since tor addresses are not really straight forward to remember, especially with the upcoming changes for V3, we decided to provide a shortcut.

With the URL https://tor.madirc.net you are automatically redirected to our Tor web client. Of course you can also scroll down on our main page and open the link there, but typing such a short URL in your browser feels more convenient to us.

The sources for this service are also available on our GitLab organisation in the tor-redirect repository.

Special about this service is the fact how we build the image. We use buildah a project by the project atomic that provides a OCI container engine without dockerd.

It’s the first container in the MadIRC environment that uses this build engine and we will try to extend the usage of it as it can run inside a container without additional privileges.
