So long, and thanks for all the fish.

MadIRC Mumble

We provide various services to connect people. And for a long time, there was a mumble server hidden in our FAQ. Allowing you and others to talk to each other by voice instead of staying with chatting. But also linking channels from the IRC network to the Mumble server, so you don’t miss anything while talking.

Now we decided to decelerate the mumble server as an official service by MadIRC and also published it to the Mumble server directory so it becomes a public server.

For those who join us using mumble.madirc.net as the server address, the certificate is a trusted one by Let’s Encrypt. No certificate warning should appear when you connect.

When you only want to try it and see who is online, we provide the possibility to join our mumble sessions using our Webinterface on mumble.madirc.net. This web interface is highly experimental but basically, works. The default settings are made to connect you instantly to the right place. After successfully connecting to the server, you can join the right channel and enjoy talking.

Sadly we can’t provide a mobile working version right now. And also only provide a push-to-talk activated version by holding ctrl + shift.

If you want a better expirence: Use the native Mumble clients for Windows, MacOS, GNU/Linux, iOS, and Android.

You may need some information to connect the server:

Hostname/Address mumble.madirc.net
Port 64738
Password "" (we have no password)

For those of you who are familiar with Tor, we also provide MadIRC’s mumble over Tor. Keep in mind that Tor adds a lot of latency!
